We’re back with a brand new Artist Spotlight. This time we stepped out of Kashmir to highlight NBR artist and trainer, Allie Scott. 

Meet Allie Scott, the visionary behind ASH Studio Salon and a true hair maestro! Hailing from Bountiful, Utah, Allie's passion for hair ignited at a young age when she would create stunning updos for high school girls during prom. Little did she know that this was just the beginning of her remarkable journey.

After completing hair school in 2010, Allie's devotion to the craft grew stronger. Her heart was set on specializing in extensions, driven by her love for them since her high school days. Having fine and brittle hair due to autoimmune diseases, she wholeheartedly understood the transformative power of extensions.

Allie's NBR journey began in January 2018, and it was a decision that would change her life forever. The NBR podcast's first episode resonated deeply with her, prompting her to invest her savings and break free from the grueling 7 am to 2 am work schedule.

However, like every trailblazer, Allie faced challenges. When she announced her decision to pursue NBR, some in the industry turned their backs on her. But she stayed true to her passion and embraced the power of boundaries, leading her to create a salon culture where everyone wins. At ASH Studio Salon, Allie fosters a team that respects and uplifts one another, making them more than just coworkers – they're best friends.

“I am strict with the work that leaves the space (at the end of the day it’s a reflection of me) but the girls are magical. They are the hardest workers with the best hearts. I truly love my salon vibe and culture. We are a TEAM. We respect each other but we are also best friends.” 

Balancing being an NBR artist, NBR trainer, salon owner, mom, wife, and fitness enthusiast is no easy feat, but Allie does it with grace. She delegates tasks, surrounds herself with a supportive network, and lives by the motto "do what you do best and hire out the rest."

Beyond hair and fitness, Allie indulges in her love for shopping, fashion, travel, and exploring the best restaurants in every city she visits. One interesting fact about her is that she struggles with severe narcolepsy, making driving more than 15 miles a challenge – a goal she hopes to conquer one day.

Her passion for fitness extends to her hair too! Allie rocks a low pony on cardio days, a high pony on weight days, and two braids when her extensions are freshly tightened. With NBR, she's a fitness powerhouse without sacrificing style.

Another life-changing benefit of NBR is the network of like-minded individuals. Both being NBR trainers and salon owners, Allie and Kiki share an incredibly close bond, empowering each other in their respective hair ventures.
